ID Cards for Youth Players and Coaching Staff

The ID cards will not be ready to be picked up until mid-January. Teams will be notified when the cards are ready. The ID cards are not required for youth teams to play their games right away because the swipe system for the doors has been delayed. SSCI is looking for individuals 16 years old and older to volunteer for Tuesday, Aug. 22nd and Wednesday Aug. 23rd. SSA Recognizes Two Outstanding Officials

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association would like to recognize the achievements of two Saskatchewan Officials in forthcoming events.

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association would like to congratulate two provincial referees for being selected to officiate in tournaments over the next few weeks. Steven Pollock was accepted as a Nominated National Referee in August and will now be heading to the U18 Boys/Girls Club Championships in Vaughan, Ontario on October 8 - 13.

Pre-B Test in Saskatoon Dec 1 - 2

The SSA will be conducting a Pre-B Test in Saskatoon from December
1-2. The Pre-B Test is for coaches interested in entering the
Canadian Soccer Association Licensing stream and if successful, will

The NE Soccer Park took on a new name this morning, as Sasktel President and CEO Robert Watson announced Sasktel's investment of a $750,000 sponsorship towards the KickStart Campaign. FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE

The Director for the "Building our Future Together" Campaign has been determined with the appointment of Hugh Vassos.
Hugh will start to assemble a Campaign Team over the next couple of weeks that will shape Soccer's Campaign and Fundraising Drive.
Soccer is also pleased to announce that Declan O'Reilly has been appointed as Fundraising Chair to co-ordinate the various committees that will be required.
Look forward to exciting new developments here as the Campaign launches and we begin

Just for Kicks Tournament & Outdoor Deadline

The Just For Kicks Tournament deadline was Thursday, April 2nd. If there are any teams out there who are still wanting to get in, we will allow applications to come in over the weekend. Drop them off in an envelope at the admissions desk over the weekend or in the drop slot!

The Outdoor 2004 entry deadline is Friday, April 2nd!

This weekend, 38 teams participated in the SSA Provincial Championships.

Provincial Weekend Approaching

The SSA Provincial Championships for Senior Men's, Senior Women's, Masters Men's Competitive, Division 1 Men's and Division 1 Women's is being held this weekend at the Soccer Centre.

38 teams from all over the province will be in town to compete.

Admission for spectators is $3.00/day or $5.00/weekend pass.

There will be a social held on the Saturday evening, which is open to the public. Dance starts at 9pm and admission is free.
