SaskEnergy Mini Soccer Jamboree Huge Success!!

On Sunday, November 26 the SaskTel Sports Centre welcomed more than 1600 people in the course of eight hours! Every hour there were sixteen U6 or U8 teams out on the large indoor turf field with a total of eight games going on at once. This was the first of five scheduled jamborees for the U6 and U8 mini soccer teams for the indoor season. Thanks to the admission staff and the cooperation from coaches and parents the entrance procedures were streamlined and ran very smoothly. With the completion of the second floor parents and spectators now have an amazing view to watch their children play soccer. Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. would like to thank SaskEnergy for their generous contribution to these events. We would also like to thank the U of S Huskie soccer players for instructing fun and enjoyable skill development drills prior to each game. General Mills provided free samples of Fruit Roll Ups, which were enjoyed by all teams. The next scheduled SaskEnergy Mini Soccer Jamboree will be on Sunday, December 17.
