Goal-keeper School, 2008

Attention all goal-keepers: Sask Soccer will be conducting winter training for goal-keepers in Saskatoon on Sundays and in Regina on Wednesdays commencing January 6th and 9th respectively in 2008. All aspiring provincial goal-keepers are encouraged to attend, but players at all levels are welcome to participate!

Coaches:
The Saskatoon program will be led by Zlatan Dautbegovic, a former professional from Bosnia. Zlatan has worked with players from U8 to Canada Games and is very experi-enced at developing skill in young players. He is a B Provincial level coach, and has also completed the BC Goalkeeper Coaching certificate.
The Regina program will be led by Udo Baecker. Udo is SSA’s Director of Technical Ser-vices and has completed part 1 of his Canadian ‘A’ License. He has had many years ex-perience coaching goal-keepers.

Program:
Each coach will work with players that have been grouped according to their ability. Cur-riculum to be covered will include footwork, positioning, ball handling, decision making, 1v1 breakaways, and last but not least, communication.

Location:
The sessions will be conducted at the SaskTel Sports Centre Turf Field in Saskatoon and at the Credit Union Eventplex Turf field in Regina.
