Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League Starts Jan2008
It is an exciting time for Saskatchewan, with Saskatoon being chosen as one of the four Canadian Teams to form the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League (CMISL) along with the Calgary United, Edmonton Drillers and the Winnipeg Alliance. The Saskatoon Accelerators will play all their home games at Credit Union Centre.
The CMISL is a league that showcases indoor (arena) soccer to Canadian fans. Some of the best indoor talent in North America will be displaying their talents in the CMISL.
We are currently working on a new website. Ticket information and game schedules should be released shortly with tickets being available at Ticketmaster in the near future. The first home game will be in early January, 2008. Additional information will be provided in the coming weeks!
As I settle into my new position as General Manager, I look forward to working with the Saskatchewan soccer community. Currently most of my time is meeting with the business community and explaining the benefits of having a major league team right here at home. With Saskatchewan optimism at an all time high, we have been given an opportunity to take soccer to a higher level that will benefit not only Saskatoon but the entire Province.
Please feel free to pass this information on to your soccer friends.
Yours sincerely
