Job Title: Field Liner
Position Type: Seasonal 40 hours per week plus any overtime
Employment: April 16 – July 17, 2009
Hourly Wage: Hourly $16 - $17/hr plus mileage
Positions Available: 1
Excellent experience for someone interested in the area of parks management
or for someone who simply enjoys the outdoors, a flexible work schedule, and working independently.
Job Duties:
- Work as a team with your assistant for the first 2.5 weeks and then work independently with no supervision for the remainder of the employment term. If you have someone in mind available from April 16 to May 3 that person can apply for the assistant position.
- Field set-up at the beginning and end of the season – moving nets and fastening them down.
- Painting lines on roughly 15 full size pitches, 10 half size pitches, and 75 mini soccer fields per week using the paint machine. Size of fields varies.
- Responsible for getting paint from General Paint and submitting receipts for reimbursement.
- Keep track of time sheets and create your own schedule from Monday to Friday between
6:00am – 5:00pm. (From April 16 to May 3 work hours can range from 6:00am to 8:00pm Mon through Sunday).
- Report mileage, receipts and timesheets on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Proper vehicle for transportation is required (ie: vehicle with a hitch or one that can have a hitch attached to it ~ a truck or SUV is ideal but any car that can have a hitch attached will suffice).
- No experience necessary.
- Ability to start by April 16th, 2009
Start-up Costs:
- Employee will have costs such as a hitch and hitch kit for vehicle if they do not have one (roughly $100).
- Costs for installment will be reimbursed and employee will keep the hitch at the end of the employment term.

Excellent experience for someone interested in the area of parks management

Ideal for those starting summer employment in May and looking for some extra work until then.
Job Duties:
- Work as a team with the Field Liner.

- Report timesheets at the end of employment term.

Job Title: “Soccer Kids In the Park” Program Leader
Position Type: 37.5 hours per week
Employment: July 6 – August 21, 2009 ~ 10:00am – 5:30pm Mon to Fri
Hourly Wage: Hourly $13 - $14/hr plus mileage
Positions Available: 2 ~ preferably one female and one male
This is an excellent experience for someone interested in obtaining experience
in leadership skills, program planning, coaching and sport facilitation.
Excellent for students pursuing Recreation, Education and/or Kinesiology
or who simply enjoy the sport of soccer, being outdoors and working with children.
Job Duties:
- Ability to work with little to no supervision; work as a team with one other Soccer Program Leader.
- Report mileage, receipts, timesheets and program attendance on a regular basis.
- Travel to various playground sites within the City of Saskatoon instructing fun soccer drills to children ages 4 to 14 by following a set playground program schedule.
Requirements:
- Must have played some soccer and enjoy the game.
- Experience coaching and/or working with children.
- Community Coach Child and Youth Certifications (call for more information if needed – clinic April 18-20)
- Post-secondary student returning to school in the fall.
- Valid driver’s license and criminal record check.
- Proper vehicle for transportation is required either from you or your co-worker.
- Ability to start by August 4th, 2008.
- First Aid and CPR an asset but not required.
Start-up Costs:
- $160 for Coach Certifiactions (if you don't already have it)
