Parking at SaskTel Sports Centre

Ever wondered about parking at the SaskTel Sports Centre? No one wants a ticket, so check this out!
We’ve got plenty of parking all around the building (highlighted in green) and the red areas are the places you can’t park. Don’t want to walk to the main entrance from the east side parking? We’ve got you covered: a secret East Entrance just for you! (in the little alcove on the East side of the building (see the little yellow arrow) the entrance is to the right of our receiving door, at the end of the chain link fence. The unmarked door takes you through a hallway into the school and out into the Commons area/North Entrance to STSC)

So please. Respect the No Parking signs. Leave the Disabled Parking spot for a person who needs it. Park in the green 🙂

Thank you!!

Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. (SSCI) was born of a dream by the local soccer community to grow the sport of soccer through the operation of their own facilitiesYOUR facilities.

SSCI was first registered as a non-profit corporation in 1993 by representatives of Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc. (SASI) and Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI). We celebrated the opening of the Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre in 1998, the SaskTel Sports Centre in 2005, and have continued to enhance our ‘home turf’ over the past two decades!

These facilities would not exist without the leadership, vision and on-going support of the soccer community.  While we have been blessed with generous contributions from the city, province and the local business and charitable community, it is our members that have been key to our success.  We continue to reinvest in our facilities to ensure we have a fun, clean and safe place to play!

Since opening in 1998 we have collected a small admission fee from adult spectators to help maintain our operations.  These funds have afforded us the opportunity to build the SaskTel Sports Centre and develop the outdoor park, including building and enhancing the beach courts and adding bleacher seating to the outdoor turf fields. Funds have also enabled us to upgrade hardcourt fields to a sprung floor system to benefit our athletes; convert an indoor field to turf; replace the turf on our full sized indoor field; update our lighting to LEDs at both facilities; add ventilation fans at the SaskTel Sports Centre; and regularly add to, replace and enhance our sports equipment.

Thanks to the support of our members and the community through field usage, admission fees, donations, sponsorship and advertising, we have reached a very important and exciting milestone: this is the year that we pay off our mortgage!  As our Thank You, we will be waiving the admission fee for spectators at our facilities as of October 1, 2019. Please note that tournament and special event admission fees may still be in effect.

We are so proud of all we have accomplished together so far, and we’re looking to the future. There is an ongoing need for turf replacement, facility maintenance and enhancements; additionally, discussions are underway to determine our next steps to support the sport and the community we love. We know we can count on your continued support, and we can’t wait to see what is yet to come. Opportunities abound and the sky’s the limit!

Thank you for being a part of something special – our ‘Home Turf’.
