NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held on
Sunday July 27, 2008
at the Remai Centre, starting at
7.30 p.m. (Located behind the Travelodge).
Monthly meetings are held on the last Sunday of each month
at the Remai Centre starting at 7.30 pm, unless affected by long weekends, in which case they are
usually held a week earlier.
Please note that for referees to be in good standing with the
SDSRA they must attend at least four meetings throughout the year. Referees in
good standing will be given preference for assignments.
Cheques for previous month games will be paid out
following the meeting.
BULLETIN BOARD
Game sheets must be handed in at the Sasktel Sports Centre, faxed, or emailed to the office. You can no longer
leave then at the Henk Ruys building.
Please note that Availability Forms are required to be in to the Assignor by 10th of the month prior.
All
SDSA indoor games now adopt the new Swipe Card system. Players with no Swipe
Card do NOT play. Cards that do not swipe must be recorded on
the sheet at the timekeepers bench and the card handed in to the Admission
Office. Please note Swipe Cards will NOT be adopted for the outdoor season.
All
referees should now have received their Saskatchewan badge from SSA. Please
ensure that badges are worn at all times when officiating.
All referees must enforce the NO jewelry law.
All visible jewelry MUST be removed ( no taping is allowed), along with wrist
bands, bandana's, hair clips, necklaces etc. The only exceptions are smooth
wedding bands, and Medic Alert bracelets with the bracelet part taped. Non
compliance means that player does NOT play. Please note this applies to
Referees as well.
Availability sheets for each month are due by
the 10th of the previous month at the latest. Be sure to fill out the
Availability Forms early to be given first priority for the games
assigned.

>>>> RULE INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES

The
following documents provide useful information and guidelines.
- 2008 SDSRA / SSA MEMBERSHIPS
It is mandatory for ALL referees
who wish to officiate in 2008, either indoors (2008-2009) or outdoors, to register or
re-register with the SDSRA in Saskatoon AND the SSA in Regina.
The onus is on the referee to register with the SSA.
Current membership expires April 15, 2008.
Registering, with the SDSRA for 2008, can be done by one of the following
methods:
-
Phoning Brian or Eleanor Smith at 373-7398
-
E-mail to Brian Smith using the SDSRA Registration Form (see Forms).
Please
note that SDSRA Fees are $25.00 for Senior Referees (18 and over) and $15.00
