SYSI ID Cards -- FACTS

SYSI ID CARDS

Facts

What are they for?

  1. Proof of Age: At anytime a referee or team / tournament official may ask for proof of your age to verify your eligibility to be playing on a specific team.
  2. Player Statistics: All player statistics such as goals or discipline cards issued will be kept track of through a data system. A unique ID number is assigned to each player/coach when they receive an ID card. This ID number is only issued once and will carry through into adult soccer.
  3. Lower Level Building Access: A new swipe card system is going to be installed in all of the lower level entrances at the SaskTel Sports Centre to control access to the player level of the building. This will ensure better security for your children playing at the soccer centre.
  4. Out of Town Tournaments: Most out of town tournaments require player and coaching staff ID cards.
  5. Provincials / Nationals: Player and coaching staff ID cards are required for all provincial and national competitions.
  6. Future Possibilities: There is a possibility in the future that these cards could be used with an electronic game sheet system.

What are they NOT for?
An ID card does not act as an admission pass. An admission pass or entrance fee is still required for anyone older than 18 years of age.

Who needs them?
All Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. registered players and coaching staff listed on the team roster.
All players with an ID card without the barcode strip on the back off the card.

Who does NOT need them?
Out of town players that are playing in our league (ie: VSA, Prince Albert).
Time clock keepers or coaching staff alternates (those not listed on team roster).

How do you get an ID card?
Appointments with the SYSI office can be made between the hours 10:00am – 4:00pm by calling 975-3413. Please bring proof of birth date (health card, driver\'s license, or birth certificate) and $15.00 cash or cheque payable to SYSI.

SYSI is NOT making a profit on ID Cards! Your card fee helps to off set the costs associated with card materials, ID card printer, and administration costs.
