2006/07 Indoor Provincials

ENTRY FORMS will be mailed out early next week - they are also available on this website in the FORMS section.

DEADLINE for submitting your ENTRY FORM with PAYMENT to the SYSI office is FRIDAY JANUARY 26, 2007.

NOTE:

ALL PREMIER TEAMS THAT SUBMITTED A PROVINCIAL ENTRY ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE SYSI OFFICE PRIOR TO JANUARY 26, 2007 AND VERIFY YOUR TEAM ROSTER.

ALL DIVISION 2 (U14 & U16 Div 1 teams and U12 & U18 Div 2 teams) TEAMS THAT SUBMITTED A PROVINCIAL ENTRY ARE REQUIRED TO COME TO THE SYSI OFFICE PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 12, 2007 AND VERIFY YOUR TEAM ROSTER.

(It is your responsibility to notify SYSI if you have any changes to coaching staff through out the season. Your Zone Registrar is responsible for notifying the office of any player additions or deletions to the team lists.)

For Premier Indoor Provincials (SYSI Premier Division Teams) :

SYSI may enter a maximum of two (2) teams per category and if there is more than 8 teams entered for a particular age category then, the elimination process will take effect, (those districts that have entered two teams for that category will be reduced to one, by random draw.) On the other hand, additional berths, if required to bring an even team format are, required, they will be offered by lot.

NOTE: The premier competition will be held on the March 9 – 11, 2007 weekend in Saskatoon for the U12, U14, U16 & U18 age groups.

For Division 2 Indoor Provincials (SYSI U14 & U16 Div 1 teams and U12 & U18 Div 2 teams):

Regina and Saskatoon have been allocated two (2) berths to the Division 2 Provincial Championships provided that for the given age/gender category that they (Regina and Saskatoon) have a minimum of four (4) teams entered. The remaining northern districts will be allocated two (2) berths and the remaining southern districts will be allocated two (2) berths, which lead to a maximum of an eight (8) team Division 2 Provincial Championship. The final Provincial Championship weekend being held March 16 – 18, 2007 in Regina.

NOTE: IN THE U18 GIRLS DIVISION WE DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED MINIMUM OF 4 TEAMS, THEREFORE IN THE U18 AGE GROUP SYSI WILL HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SSA NORTHERN PLAYDOWNS.

The U18 Division 2 Northern Play-downs are scheduled for February 16 – 18, 2007 in Lloydminster.

TRANSFER, ADDITION AND ROSTER DEADLINES (must be received in the SYSI office for each youth category and division by the following dates and time.)

NOTE:

A Premier player cannot transfer to a Division 2 team after the SSA Registration deadline.

A maximum of 3 players can be transferred to one team.

Premier Deadlines

\"BOARDS RULES\"

Youth – For Provincial Competitions all boards are out of play. A mark on the floor or boards shall identify the corner kick area and the subsequent end and beginning of the sideline and endlines. Balls touching any sideboards that cross the sideline results in indirect kicks. Balls that touch the end-walls or cross the endline results in goal/corner kicks. The goal posts are in play and are not considered \"boards\".

FEES

Entry fee for the competitions is $350.00 per team. Cheque should be made payable to SYSI.

PERFORMANCE BOND

The bond for Provincials is $200.00 per team or $500.00 per Zone.

HOW SYSI WILL DETERMINE PROVINCIAL REPRESENTATIVES

Refer to attached memo.

CPIC

All coaching staff at provincial competitions need CPIC clearance before they are allowed on the team bench.

DURATION OF GAMES

All games are 25 minute halves with a 3 minute half-time break.

ROSTER SIZE

  • Youth U12 Premier & Div 2 Provincials – Maximum number of registered players are 14 and the maximum players that can dress for a game are 14.
  • Youth U14 – U18 Premier Provincials – Maximum number of registered players are 18 and the maximum players that can dress for a game are 18.
  • Youth U14 – U18 Div 2 Provincials – Maximum number of registered players are 18 and the maximum players that can dress for a game are 18.
