Day Program Lead opening

Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc (SSCI) is a non-profit organization that owns and operates two world class sports facilities: Saskatoon Sports Centre and Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre. Although soccer is our primary activity, we have numerous members and guests using our facilities for multi-sport activities and special events, from early in the morning until late at night.  We are currently seeking a Day Program Lead.

Responsible for providing exceptional customer service at our Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre, our Day Program Lead keeps everything running smoothly for Pickleball players, Indoor Playgroup families and Indoor Walking Program participants. Our user groups are extremely important to us and making people feel welcomed is a key part of this role. Physical fitness is a must, as the first hour is a fast-paced set up for the day with lots of walking and carrying. We’re looking for a reliable, energetic and friendly person, with a keen eye for detail, to oversee registration & admission to these programs.

Hours: Mon to Fri, 7:15am – 3:15pm. Slightly reduced hours in summer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing registration & admission to Day Programs
  • Active hour setting up the field – physical fitness is a must
  • Maintaining relationships with returning users
  • Ensuring safety and security of members, guests, and facilities
  • Cash handling and precise record keeping

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • Willingness to use cell phone for work related purposes

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Strong customer service skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently with a team or on your own with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift & push up to about 30lbs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in cash handling and record keeping

Pickleball Saskatoon partnership

Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. is very pleased to announce our partnership with Saskatoon Pickleball Inc.! We will be upgrading the flooring of one field at our Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre and adding 8 new pickleball courts, in addition to the capabilities for volleyball and other sports.

Facility name change

Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. (SSCI) wishes to thank SaskTel for their generous support for the past 15 years since the grand opening of our second world class facility, the SaskTel Sports Centre. As this partnership has now concluded, we are moving forward and looking to the future. We have partnered with DCG Philanthropic Services to undertake a feasibility study to help determine our next steps. Our goal, as always, is to meet the changing needs of our members and numerous users to help ensure their success and growth. During this transition, the facility has become the Saskatoon Sports Centre. Stay tuned for details on what the future holds!

Weather closures

After the weekend snowstorm, both SSCI facilities are closed Monday Nov. 9th and reopen Tuesday.

Indoor Playgroup and Indoor Walking Program will be CLOSED Tuesday & Wednesday Nov. 10th & 11th.
