Law 1. The Field The field is 53yds x 69yds Surface is artificial grass Law 2. The Goals Age Group U11 & U12 8.0ft x 18.6ft Age Group U14 – Adult 8.0ft x 24ft Law 3. Off Side Off Side only occurs in the attacking third of the field. A player is offside only at the moment the ball is played forward and will only be off side if there are less than two opponents either level of between the receiving attacker and the goal line. (Note: the goalkeeper is usually one of the two). The attacking line will be indicated by a yellow dotted line across the field Law 4. Corner Kicks As per FIFA Regulations Corner Kicks are to be taken from the corner spot. The opposing players must remain at least 5yds away from the ball until it is played. The kicker may not touch the ball again until it has touched another players. If he/she does, a free kick is awarded against them. The ball is in immediately it enters the field of play. Law 5. Throws Ins As per FIFA Regulations A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw-in. The throw – in is to be taken from the point where it left the playing surface to the opponents of player who last touched the ball. Law 6. Free Kicks As per FIFA Regulations Players must remain at least 5 yards away from all free kicks until the ball is played Law 7. Ball All games played on the artificial surfaces will use an outdoor FIFA regulated ball. Age Group U11 & U12 Size 4 Age Group U14 Adult Size 5 Law 8. Substitutions All Substitution must be made through the referee with players entering the game at the half way line. Only 3 substitutions can be made per half and with unlimited at half time. (Note: A player may re-enter the game). Substitutions can only be allowed during a stoppage in play where the substituting team is in possession. Law 9. Number of Players All games will be played with 7 out players and 1 keeper Age Group U11 & U12 Recommended Number of Players 12 Age Group U14 – U18 Recommended Number of Players 12 Law 10. Duration of Game All 8 vs. 8 games will consist of (2) – 25 Minute Halves with a 3 Minute Half Time Break Law 11. Footwear All footwear must be clean and meet the following guidelines: - No Metal Cleats

- Molded Studs
- Blades
- Turf Trainers
- Indoor Shoes
Law 12. Ball Hits the Roof The ball is deemed out of play if it hits any part of the roof, at that time the indirect free kick will be taken where the ball touches the roof. Law 13. Yellow and Red Card Infractions All carded offenses will be treated as per FIFA outdoor rules. Law 14. Slide Tackles Slide Tackle will permitted in 8 vs. 8 games. SYSI Rules and Regulations, and Discipline will apply. FIFA Regulations will also be used. |
